Paxo’s top 10 pooches
I love dogs, they're great for everything. They're great friends, and you can tell them all the gossip and they won't tell anyone! When I visit the dog friendly caravan parks at John Fowlers I see lots of pets I'd love to own myself. In fact, I might just tell you about my top 10 pooches I've seen on Pet friendly holidays UK.
Labradoodle
The Labrador Retriever-Poodle are lovely dogs by themselves but now you can get a cross between the two; the Labradoodle. They're intelligent and friendly dogs and don't they look pretty? I'd love to have one of these to walk around the Sandaway Beach Holiday Park in Combe Martin.
Mini Schnauzer
The Miniature Schnauzer is a small dog with a whole lot of heart, a bit like me. He's always in the top 20 most popular breeds in the England and you can find them all around the world. I have seen several around the South Bay Holiday Park in Brixham.
English Setter
English Setters aren't as glamorous as some of the four-legged friends I've seen around the Devon, Cornwall and Somerset holiday parks of John Fowlers but they are nice quiet worker dogs with an excellent nose for finding lost toys! They're very gentle, calm and friendly and they are also excellent with children so that's why I quite like them.
German Sheppard
German Sheppards are great companions and very reliable. They used to herd sheep in the old days but now they can be seen helping the Police, search and rescue teams and even acting! They've also been spotted taking vacations at Ilfracombe Holiday Park.
Labrador Retriever
The Labrador Retriever is a very popular dog. They make great families dogs because they are loyal, loving, affectionate and patient, and I think I would look really good walking one of these around Widemouth Bay Caravan Park in Bude. They're rather intelligent too, so I don't think they would enjoy listening to me gossip about all the soaps on TV!
Lancashire Heeler
I love these little doggies, they're so cute! The Lancashire Heeler is very alert and friendly with those they know but they can be very shy. Ahh! These little ones have a lot of energy and they need to be kept entertained, so don't leave them alone for too long. There's plenty of room for them to play at Perran View Holiday Park in St Agnes.
Springer Spaniel
These doggies' tails are constantly wagging, just like me gossiping! They're gentle, friendly, and sociable dogs that make great child companions. Intelligent, skilful, willing and obedient as well as being a quick learner. I'd love to play ball at St Ives Holiday Village with one of these (if I wasn't going to break a nail)!
Jack Russell
These little scamps are one that you'll always see on the beaches around Tolroy Manor Holiday Park. The Jack Russell Terrier is a cheerful, merry, devoted and loving dog. It is spirited and obedient, yet absolutely fearless. Careful and amusing, they enjoy games and playing with toys- like people on holiday!
Cockapoo
This has to be my favourite pooch, a cross between the Cocker Spaniel and the Poodle you get the best of both worlds! You can walk a Cockapoo and feel like a celeb because of its poodle heritage and you can play with it like it was a cocker spaniel. Perfect or when I'm walking around Kenegie Manor in Penzance.
Shih Tzu
A Shih Tzu is a toy dog breed. They're just right to fit in your handbag like a real WAG! The Shih Tzu is an alert, lively, little dog. It is happy and hardy, and packed with character. The gentle, loyal Shih Tzu makes friends easily so that's great for when you go on holiday to Killigarth Manor Holiday Park in Polperro.
